SynopsisFred is an ordinary boy. He likes to watch TV, play football and eat food, and is bored out of his mind at school. Most of all, however, he fancies Amy, in his eyes the most beautiful girl in the world. Amy is clever and charming and would normally never go near a boy like Fred. She thinks that he is just like the other boys in their class: lazy, bad-mannered and annoying. But Fred sets out to prove Amy wrong and persuade her that he really is the one for her. ‘The Heist explores Fred’s determination to win Amy round and get her to return his feelings for her. It’s a long, tough journey, but Fred is resolute, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. But things do not turn out to be quite as straightforward as he had planned… ‘The Heist’ is a hilarious, touching and moving play about willpower and the compulsive effects of teenage love.
